This hasnt been brought up for a while, is long hair in?

i just took a look at those new elf head artwork and i noticed the not so long hair and got a little bit worried.

it doesnt have to be flowing waiving in the wind hair, it just has to be long.

It can be hard to do long hair without making it look like a brick. It looks like one of the OC characters has long hair (the elf guy), though, so don't get too antsy.

a brick is fine in my opinion, i hope your right tho....a bit like the CEP hair.

but at any rate we have been told the visuals are going to be out of this world, and they seem to be the price we have paid for alot of things that are not going to be in the game, this said what are we going to get for such a price.

There are characters with shoulder length hair and ponytails. We have a specific hair bone for hair animation.

We can't do hair that is longer than shoulder length because the hair will clip through armor and other objects on the character. It's also tough and time consuming for the animators to animate long flowing hair - It's even more challenging in a system like ours where heads/hair/bodies/armor can be mixed and matched interchangeably. The best solution is to do it dynamically, but alas we don't have hair dynamics in NWN2.

I'm sure shoulder length is good enough for everyone. I'm a short hair guy, myself, but I'm also one of those crazy people that likes sword trails. Good news all around, thanks.

shoulder length would be acceptable for most i think, thanks for the info, in NWN 1 the longest hair still was like a mum haircut until CEP and HOTU that is.

i can definately work with shoulder length.
