I don't know much about WC3 but I do know he was a great swordsman who was trained by Uther to become a Paladin, later he fell and gained undead powers from a Lich. If you were to recreate him for NWN2 how would you do it?
Would he look something like this?
Fighter/Paladin/Blackguard/Warlock with a greatsword
The reason I picked Warlock was for the deathcoil he has and figured the Warlock's Blast would be the closest thing to it plus the whole RP aspect of giving his soul away for power. |

Drop dead.
That's all i have to say
(If i ever see an Arthas clone online, i will personally give him a kick in the groin)
Oh and yeah, warcraft sucks (especially after world of crapcraft)
But on the other hand... Fighter blackguard would be most suited for an... ugh... arthas clone... There you goEdited By Etherion Gesais on 10/07/06 20:27 |

Arthas has no D&D Contemporary. He was a level 10 Paladin, which would actually convert to epic level Paladin for D&D. Then he lost all those levels. Started over again as a Death Knight, which has its closest contemporary as a Blackguard/Necromancer. Went to WC3 level 10, once again Epic for D&D. Then he lost some of those levels, gained powers from a lich, then fused with the lich.
So, if you did Blackguard/Necromancer/Pale Master, you might be able to have some sort of Arthas build. Even though it would just be very strange and a little sad, too.
The truth is that Arthas imitation is worse than Drizzt imitation. Battle.net kiddies have a far worse reputation than people who read R.A. Salvatore. At least Drizzt fans are literate. |

Dont listen to these idiots. Start off as a paladin for 5 levels Then change the alignment to evil by doing evil things 10 cleric levels with death/destruction domain or something And top it off with 5 Blackguard levels
Perfect Arthas |

I thought he had a hammer in WC3, until he found Frostmourne (which made him fall).
anyway, I'd go with paladin/blackguard - start as a paladin, suddenly "fall" (using whatever method the game allows you to fall quickly) and take the Blackguard prestige class. you could add cleric, if you want to start off good and have healing spells etc then go bad and change your spell list...anyone know if there's a way to change cleric domains mid-game?
but there are lots of instances of paladins falling to darkness (that's why the Blackguard class was created), does it really need to be an Arthas clone? really, if I were you, I'd leave Arthas to the Warcraft world and create your own paladin-come-blacguard. _________________ So at the start (well not the start), Harry either dies or has sex (or neither), leaving not Sarah (unless it's Sarah) to fall in love, or not in love, with a shark, squid, a pebble, a policeman, or none or all of the above. |

Or you could try and avoid cleches all together and come up with an original character...
How about a dark elf ranger/blackguard?

There are lots of stupid claims in this thread with no warrents or data. I play Warcraft 3, and I'm literate. Also I'm going to counter "Warcraft sucks" with Warcraft doesn't suck. Though I do not suggest making a clone of anyone for online play. |

Warcraft 3 was great. Shame they had to spoil it with WoW. _________________ Fardragon, Artist, Scientist, Educator and Dragon Maker.

How would someone go about making a cookie monster or the count type of character? (lol jks)
Diversity is the spice of life. But since people use them, no matter what you or I or even (GASP DARE I SAY IT) George Foreman thinks (Hehe his boys are all named George) thats ok by me.
I like making my own character...
As for Arthas... I guess your going for historical? Well dont go paladin... he lost his skills so go fighter / necro maybe hitting palemaster for a spell (no pun intended) |

I'm sure people will be afraid up until the point that they realise you can't punch people through the internet. |

pally/bg/sorc/pale master.
for a playable build, i'd go pally 6 / bg 6 / sorc 18 / palemaster 10 (assuming epic levels) in that order (though after level 20 you can move back & forth between the sorc & palemaster levels).
that'll get you ab 16 for four attacks / round pre-epic. sorc instead of wiz for the cha synergy with pally/bg. also because the character seems more based on cha instead of int. start cha at 16 & put all points there. set wis to 10 (my interpretation ... he doesn't seem very wise nor does he seem to have a lot of willpower).
greatsword. practiced spellcaster feat. autostill 1-2-3 for casting in full plate. power attack & cleave (required for blackguard). divine might & divine shield (don't know if these will stack the pally/bg levels). improved critical greatsword.
heh. now i'm prolly gonna spend the rest of the day trying to figure out the build for illidan. *g* s. |

I think you should either make a good Arthas or bad Arthas
Prince Arthas: Level 40 Paladin Arthas the Death Knight: Level 10 Necromancer Level 30 Blackguard Arthas the Lich King: Level 5 Necromancer Level 30 Pale Master Level 5 Blackguard |
