Wow!

Where did my post go?!? I am sure many of you are asking. They went to the dead zone. This thread has intrinsic value and I felt it ought to be preserved.

Unfortunately, it got hijacked and off topic'd so fast that it could make one's head spin, spitting pea soup.

I deleted ALL the off topic discussion and did it without prejudice. I didn't care if good points were made or not, or if it turned into a bit of a pissing contest, which it most definitely did.

It all detracts from the OPs point and any further discussion in the thread will be limited to the topic at hand. I hate to see good ideas get so callously hijacked.

Now, please, continue on with the discussion at hand and nothing else.

Fair enough. Forum mod is a thankless job, so let me be among the few to say: thanks

Back to the matter at hand...

Only 5 days until we know if this or a similar method of faking outdoor areas will work. I like the fact that the toolset is flexible enough to let us do things like this.

Personally I don't find the lack of a skybox too distracting as long as we can pull the fog in nice & close, which I suspect will look just fine in-game. I also suspect that if enough voices cry out, Obsidian might be able to add skyrings to indoor tiles in a future patch.

No.

Forum moderation is, indeed, a thankless job, but that doesn't mean it should be done badly. And that was badly done. It's a shame Bioware aren't actually running these forums. They use professional mods, and know how to do it right. Using amateur moderators is generally an indication that a company doesn't care.

I'm sure this will be considered off-topic and deleted. I just hope you take some advice and learn how to do the job properly.

Aleph, I like that screenshot. Nice job. I'm thinking this could be used in non-PW mods too.

Certain outdoor environments I need to create will require a claustrophobic feel, and why not keep down overhead whenever possible?
