Didnt feel like waiting for bioware/obsidian/whoever so this program will bind your Mouse2 (right-click just like WoW) to rotate your camera around instead of the current Mouse3. It then also binds Mouse4 (usually the thumb button) to the previous Right-Click function... So if you want to bring up the command menu like you normally would by right-clicking on someone, you just use Mouse4 instead.

Feel free to scan the exe all you want, its being hosted on my personal web server and i havent encrypted it at all so if you want to you should be able to do a simple security-free decompile and see the whole thing. If you dont trust me still... loser then either go make your own or send me a private message and ill give you the code to compile yourself.

yesir. so far the only negative feedback has been if you quit the game it takes 10-15 seconds sometimes to realize and so rightclick still functions as mouse4

This is nice but really they need to integrate the WoW scheme into the game, and its more than just binding mouse3 to mouse2 and moving mouse2 to mouse4.

Mirroring World of Warcraft and the 'Smart' camera setting:

The right mouse button, when held down, should move the character and the camera. The left button, again when held down, just the camera. Holding both buttons down moves you forward. Voila. Perfection, all without breaking anything else AND freeing up the middle button.

hmmm i could free up the middle mouse button too but due to half the people saying how they thought mouse3 was a classic NwN camera button, i thought i would just leave it on both. i could assign mouse3 to some crazy key string like Shift+Alt+Ctrl+X and then just remember to assign that actual key string to whatever you want in the game settings... however now that i think about it, have they even allowed combo button key assignments yet in NwN2? lol

also if anyone can figure out a way in NwN to just reverse the camera following. instead of the camera following the character's movement, have the character follow the camera (even more like WoW)

with my program currently i can do this, but it takes a little bit of concentration to do and it obviously better if they could intigrate an option for this instead but heres what i do...

when you hold Mouse2 (mouse3 by default) to rotate your camera, the mouse cursor disapears but stays in the same place as it should. you will also notice that holding down Mouse1 and moving your mouse around will actually control which direction the character walks... well if you combind the 2 functions, you will get an effect almost exactly like that of WoW. Holding down Right and Left click it will move you forwards as well as keep the camera behind you no matter which way you turn.... heres the trick...
when you rightclick into camera rotate mode, you have to do so right in the middle of your screen but slightly above your character. basicly it will make it so that the holding down of mouse1 as well to walk towards the mouse cursor will be locked in place (in front of you) but you will have right-click (mouse2 or mouse3) held down giving you directional control via camera rotation

i just thought of a very interesting way to upgrade the ability i just discussed with moving with mouse1 and 2... tell me what you think.

Same plan but instead of having to decide where to place your mouse, i could not only go into camera mode via Mouse2/3 but i could have have it auto relocate the mouse cursor to a good position above the middle of the screen and move back when mouse2/3 is released. then you wouldnt have to think about the position all the time. maybe i could even run a way to display the windows mouse on top of nwn2 just during that time as a "crosshair" for the point in front of you where your character would be running to. ya its always straight forward but if you were to look up in the sky for example and you cant move there, then the character turns around or stops... if there were some crosshair type thing then you wouldnt forget about it when focusing on fighting or running away etc

ne way im bored at work so give me somethin to do guys

Hey, thanks dude!
I only hope Obsidian enables this naturally so we don't need third party stuff.

Lol *puts on flame retardent suit*

First of man im not a blitzkid. Played wow for a bit but didn't like the cartoony, childish feel.

I just like having the right mouse button as camera b/c my middle mouse button is a pain.

Atleast your reference to the south park ep was kinda funny. But I visualize you being the chip eating fat guy at the console more than me, thanks
