According to the manual the NPC party size in chapter 1 is limited to 3. I thought I saw in one of the forum posts that there was a mod that allowed you to increase the NPC's to 5. Was this wishfull thinking on my part or did anyone else run into this mod...and if they did I'd appreciate a link.
Yes, I've entered searches but it seems I'm doing something wrong as I can't get a match.

It is a cheat code and you can up it to 6, the size in Chapter 3. |

Found at game faqs...
rs ga_party_limit(6) Raises the amount of party members you may have at once to 6.
Might need a space after limit and the ( I have not tried it yet but plan too...sounds like a lot of fun! |

There's also a program in the custom content section that lets you change the party size by editing the roster file. |

you can actually raise the party limit as high as you want. I currently have every single ally in my party on my 2nd time through the game (11 allies and my character) party size of 12). It is sort of funny to see all their interactions together at times. the biggest problem with this is, unless you have an uber computer it's gonna lag bad...
2nd time through I decided to buff my character, so I just have the allies hold position at the beginning and go through the levels alone, they still speak at the cutscenes, so as long as your guy is strong enough you can get through the game this way and witness a bunch of different interactions between certain characters. |

I do similar...I keep my friends (companions) close, I just tell everyone to stand their ground so they stay at the entrance, and tell individuals to follow if I need them. It's not as laggy if you keep the camera pointed in a direction that doesn't include the group.

Did you type in "DebugMode 1"? That's always needed to make you use commands like these... |

Read this and thought it would be fun. I am in act 2 and executed the command.
I am in the sunken flagon & my ability to add and take away from the party is broke.
When I try to switch out a character it wont let me readd them or anyone else.
Anyone else having this issue? |

Sounds like you changed the party limit to a lower number than you have. Does it list 0 for the Available slots?

No, before I apply the rs command I can add and delete party members to my hearts content. The one thing I do notice is at this point Shandra is a permanment part of my party. When I get rid of other party members she continues to have a number 4 in the NPC selection screen.
Then when I:
DebugMode 1
rs ga_party_limit 6
DebugMode 0
When I take a party member out of the group Shandra's number reduces.
I also dont get any results from using rs kr_roster_limit.
I am running the latest patch of the game could it be possible that the patch messed up the runscripts?
I am also thinking that the permanent NPC in my group is messing the command up. |

Hate to point it out, and I really don't know if it makes a difference... but the number after ga_party_limit should be in brackets, no? 
But Obsidian has said in another thread that it's not a good idea to use this command caus it can screw up your game (I don't recall exactly which thread, or their precise wording, though I do recall something to that effect being said). |
