And the winner is....

jclef, with his module Grimm Brigade!

The module had some great writing, area designs and a very original concept. If you haven't played it already, I highly suggest it and all of the other mod contest modules.

Thanks to all those that participated. We had a great time judging this contest and playing all the modules.

Stay tuned for a new contest kicking off in the very near future!

Congratulations

Rob, is there any low down on general thoughts from the team on the various mods? I know we would all appreciate some feedback.

If contestants send me a PM, I will give you any feedback that has been given to me.

Please make sure you tell me which module you made.

I uh - holy cow!

I'm not one for speeches, to be honest. Likely because I've never won anything this substantial before!

First, I will start with the fact that All of the modules submitted for this contest contain a worthy experience for All players. I've played most of them myself and I knew it would be a difficult decision for the judges!

When the contest arrived, I went to work right away. My biggest concern was the fun-factor. I had to make something that I myself didn't want to put down until it was completed.

The limitations set by the judges were a great thing. The boundaries forced a comfy and confined area to work with. And building with the toolset was just awesome - I mean, this tool has the ability to encompass all forms of creative art (music, drawing, writing, etc...)!

Thank you Obsidian!

Thank you Community!

Happy Gaming to you All!

So, Rob, what does he win?

I was going to give him Feargus' car, but he caught me.

I played through all of them and I completely agree with this. Grimm Brigade was really the best one. I would not agree with saying that all of the contest entries were worth playing, though. Some weren't so hot, but Grimm Brigade was fun.

Rob,

I think it'd be really nice if Obsidian would release a top-3 or top-5 list, based on your internal rankings. It might help highlight some of the other meritorious entries, which might better help encourage players to check out these modules. Grimm Brigade was a fine module, but it wasn't the only good one!

Maybe give out a gold, silver, and bronze award? This is not uncommon among contests like this that have been held in the past (e.g. bioware writing contest, vault mod of the year, etc).
