I'm fairly sure they said some time back that there would not be any avatars for MoW, since it's only an Adventure Pack, instead of an Expansion.

That is correct - there won't be any additional avatars for MoW.

No, I can't blame you at all. There are some great characters in MoW, and I'll always remember good ol' Salty Jack. If you want the background scoop on that street-performing magician that you liked, you should check out the blog of the designer who wrote him (Tiberius), and his behind-the-scenes article.
