I'm not sure there's any hope for me, rehab or no. Besides, modding is a hobby that keeps misanthropes like me off the streets, so everyone's better off.
ONly questions is whether the DragonAge drug will be qually as potent... _________________ My blog

Why not make it in Greyhawk instead? Its barren compared to the FR, giving you much more leeway. Besides, there are no volcanoes in either place. Why not try the Smoking Mountains if it must be in the FR?
The Serpent Hills and High Moor were made as Elminster's Ecologies Appendixes I and II. Combined with the 3rd edition Serpent Hills, I doubt there is any room for your module there. _________________ All NWN2 Modules Together |

NOw, I find that an odd thing to say, as the whole point of any campaign setting it to use it as a framework and springboard for the DM's ideas.
Apart from the NWN canon not being GH and so making it GH in name only without CC i'm not willing to work on/compile, there are several factors making the Serpent Hills a decent choice. Where does it say there are no (dormant) volcanoes there? There are at least 2 canon red wyrms there and 3 canon brass dragons who are all going to be erring towards warmer locales. Secondly there's the WPM original map here. Which places the mountain next to a swamp - Serpent Hills border High Moor as detailed in that Elminster Ecologies. 'Skittering slithers aboud' in the thickets south of the mountain which could be the reptiles of the Serpent Hills, and an undead dragon lairs to the north - look into the FR canon history of Orogoth. Ultimately, that's good enough for me and the sidequests i have in mind. _________________ My blog

Actually, the FR is one of the most unfriendly campaign settings of all time. You are constantly checking everything you do versus canon, then mess up anyway and find out about it later. I made a module which started in the town of Hardcastle, which was only shown on a map in a 2nd edition resource. Unfortunately, it appeared in the 3rd edition The Shining South with a mayor and a description. Screwed up my module. You can't win in the FR. You never win.
Why not the Spine of the World? Full of volcanoes and nasty critters. Nobody has scoped out the Spine. Plenty of stuff still there. _________________ All NWN2 Modules Together |
