I'm not sure if this is a glitch or if I did something that caused this, but I tried to load my game and all the NPCs are missing, as well as from the autosave and the quicksave. They were all there when I saved the game, and show up in the pictures next to the save games when I click on the file to load. The only character that shows up is my main character, and the missing NPCs are not at the inn. The game won't let me talk to the one NPC that is at the inn. I have no idea what to do. Is there anything I can do to fix this? |

Sorry to read about your problem but there is one thing you will have to do if someone on here is going to try and help the best they can. That is posting your game/OS info as per tech support stickie.

In the game I'm in Neverwinter in the Docks district, I finished checking the gaurd stations, and the City Watch building was burning when I saved it. Does that help any? =x |

Hey S,
DO you have a previous save that you can try? Do you practice saving your game(s) in different slots? If not you could be experiencing a corrupted save. And unless someone else has another idea it may be that you'll have to use a previous save. Hope you have some, or you may be starting over.
Let's just see what anyone else might have to say on this subject.

Ah... I had 3 files. The main file, the auto save and the quick save. All 3 of them do the same thing, other than that, no I don't have any other save files. The auto save was in a different place than the other two, and it does the same thing. =/
Interesting thing though, I exported my character and tried restarting the game, but I think there is something off with it... The monsters don't attack my party; they just kind of stand there and only attack when I attack them first. My party does not automatically attack the enemies either. Maybe it's a lost cause and I should restart, but I was just curious whether or not there was something I could do to salvage the file. |

There should be no 'main' file, it is highly recommended that you save often and in different slots. Overwriting (reusing) the tame save/load game file over and over again will usually end up corrupting the saved game files, and eventually the Auto-save and Quick save files as well.
Also, if this is happening when you start the game, you may want to remove and reinstall NWN 2. I recommend my method posted at Click Here be followed for installation.Edited By Selene Moonsong on 11/07/09 12:30 |

Hi S,
Another thing which may be a cause is if you are using any custom content, A.I. or character building aids not with NWN2 by default. If you are not then disreguard the comment.
